All big fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris are already over. It was an extremely busy and exhausting month. If you have the feeling “oops! I missed something” we have this amazing summary for you. From ‘70s to boho and athleisure trends for fall 2015. Let’s go.
1. ‘70s
‘70s inspirations are not super new. It’s started in 2011 and continuously we find retro revival even this spring. Flares, culottes and high-waisted jeans, long maxi dresses, knitted crop-tops and fringe appear in most collections. What’s novel – the focus on colours: burnt oranges, olive greens and browns.
Celine, Naeem Khan, Tracy Reese, Fendi, Opening Ceremony
Vivienne Westwood, Michael Kors, Derek Lam, Rochas, Anthony Vaccarello.
2. Boho
Bohemian and hippie influences go back at least to 2005 and ten years later are again on top. Fun, colorful, folk-inspired pieces were presented by Burberry Prorsum, Vivienne Westwood, Giamba and Roberto Cavalli.
Tory Burch, Giamba, BCBG Max Azria, Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli
3. Fringe
Also being part of ‘70s look, fringe seems to be ubiquitous. Ralph Lauren applied it on capes and sweaters, Nina Ricci on dresses, Burberry on accessories. It’s hot now. Of course you’ll find it in Reserved too.
Ralph Lauren, Sacai, Burberry Prorsum, Andrew Gn, Nina Ricci
4. White polo
Indeed. So simple as that. Marni, Oscar de la Renta or Rachel Zoe showed very easy, but elegant looks thanks to long-necks. Maybe it’s a new white collar?
Marni, Oscar de la Renta, Eudon Choi, Cedric Charlier, Rachel Zoe
5. Pussy Bow
So girly and sophisticated, big bows are back. When we saw them at Chanel’s “Brasserie”, we knew it’d be on trend.
Emilio Pucci, Orla Kiely, A Detacher, Chanel, Bottega Veneta
6. Ribbed Knits
Warm, comfortable sweater is a must have for every autumn-winter season. We stay with oversize and layers, but add some extra ribbed pattern, like Diesel or Fay did.
Diesel Black Gold, Fay, Charlotte Ronson, Baja East, 1205
7. Capes
We love capes! After the classic Burberry cape got completely sold out last autumn, it was so obvious more designers will follow the trend. How you wear it – it’s up to you. The point is they keep you warm.
Celine, Chalayan, Christopher Raeburn, Dolce & Gabbana, Esteban Cortazar
8. Athleisure
It’s a mix of athletic and casual look that is super comfy and can be worn not only for the gym. At Reserved we have plenty of pieces that match that style – we love it.
Preen, Paco Rabanne, Alexis Mabille, Tommy Hilfiger, Rag & Bone
Long time to autumn, we know, but imagine how great it’s gonna be to read this post again in September, before shopping for AW15.
