Spring/Summer 2015 collections have reached the final step. The last of “Big Four” fashion weeks has just ended. What has the European capital of fashion presented? Today we have a peek at Paris catwalks.
Sporty and feminine – that’s how the outfits will be next spring. Designers have focused on comfort. Sporty tops, loose sweaters, coats cinched at the waist or allowed to fall in a clean straight line, fluid, slim or flare pants. We saw snickers and flats at the biggest shows of Giorgio Armani, Kenzo, Balenciaga, Fendi or Dolce&Gabbana.
Another trend: oversize. Oversize jackets paired with supersized skirts, oversize trousers with big coats and so on. Oversize from start to finish. But they don’t lose feminine touch. There are loads of light, elegant dresses, skirts and suits. The main colour palette is rather unified. Whites, beiges, shades of grey and black overrun the collections.
What’s new? Playing around with proportions. Cut-outs. Layers. New technologies, like used by Kenzo perforated cotton. It’s gonna be an interesting spring.
