Their fascinations for sweets are already known from the fragrance “Prada Candy”. This time fashion house shows the real sweet tooth, buying the most popular pastry shop in Milan! Pasticceria Marchesi, famous from delicious chocolates and cakes, is located in the most beautiful part of the city – in historical centre. We already wrote about the charms of Milan and its fashion relations, but this is the real icing on the cake. And it’s yummy.
Established in 1824, Pasticceria Marchesi is the oldest in town. It was opened by Italian family called Marchesi and is still run by them. Their sweets became popular all around Italy and a raisin, sweetish bread panettone, speciality of store, has grown up to a symbol of tasty Christmas. Now these two Italian names are joining forces. Miuccia Prada signed the contract with Pasticceria to ensure more efficient development and support of local tradition.
“Marchesi is a symbol of perfection in Milan and I am glad that we managed to create understanding with the family that founded this historic brand”, says the husband Miuccii Prada, Patrizio Bertelli.
