Colour first

Nothing reminds us – fashionistas – more about spring than colours. The latest SS17 Balenciaga collection explains why. See Demna Gvasalia’s second project for the French fashion house and remember, colour first.

Pink and red doesn’t go well together. You are not suppose to mix different patterns. Never wear light fabrics with heavy… Not at all! This spring we go further and create a stir with garments that combine textures, colours, prints and weaves.

In 1958 Cristobal Balenciaga developed organza – a thin, plain weave fabric made from silk, which became his signature textile. Now Demna Gvasalia in his latest collection combines organza with cotton, leather and Spandex to inspire diversity. Spring is the best time to experiment.
