Nordic fashion shares a unique design heritage and a strong tradition of craftsmanship. “The Good Guys” exhibition shown during the Copenhagen Fashion Festival tells the story of male identity and timeless styles that can be worn over and over. Let’s discover the male universe and get familiar with some names…
The exhibition showcase brands, that take the values from traditional Nordic roots and reuse them in modern design. Their work is based on old school techniques and craftsmanship, local production, tailored fits and zero waste principals. It gathers leading Nordic designers like Mads Nørgaard, Amoire d’homme, Nudie Jeans, Filippa K and Sort Slips Hvidt Slips. Some of them we saw just few days ago at the runways.
The exhibition shows not only photos, but pieces themselves. You can get closer and touch the materials. Recycling garments are a big issue in Nordic design, as you can see below: the T-shirt was made of shreds and cuts that have been discarded from sewing line, and the vest used to be an old apron.
