The picture above, that reminds any Tumblr or Pinterest image found with #fashion, was taken long before we started “#”. Halston Advertising Campaign for Mens Wear was made in 1982 by artist Andy Warhol and sold recently at Christie’s auction for thousands-dollars. In today’s Inspirations we present more Warhol’s artworks – photos, drawings and prints, all associated with fashion. Since this post, Warhol won’t be the artist of Campbell Soup, he’ll be the author of Shoes and fashion show pictures. At least for us.
Andy Warhol Self Portrait
The collection “Always in Fashion” features photographs, prints and drawings by Andy Warhol, revealing the personalities and style that dominated New York from 1950s till late 1980s. Polaroids showing runway models, unique photos of Oscar de la Renta, Valentino or Diana Vreeland and loads of sketch drawings of fashion accessories can be found in the collection, that belongs to Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

We didn’t say Andy Warhol will be associated with Shoes without a reason. He definitely had a thing for shoes. He photographed them, drew, printed. We found loads of artworks presenting high heels, pumps and boots.
